When bacon met kimchi in a bao bun it was nothing short of love at first sight. 💕 Seriously though...these bao buns full of grilled @dorsognasmallgoods bacon, fresh veggies (carrot, enoki, avocado) and kimchi were 10 out of 10 delicious. Perfect for a brunch or even a footy finals gathering. There’s more to bacon than eggs people. Get creative. There’s almost nothing that doesn’t benefit from the addition of Smokey 🥓. If you know me well you’ll know I’m a sucker for a wooden platter and I’ve been using this gorgeous @salisburyandcohome platter from @kitchenwarehouse non stop since I first received it to create this grazing platter for a blog piece I wrote for them on ,”The New Rules To Grazing”. If you want a few tips around putting together a thoughtful, modern platter, follow the link in my bio over to their blog. In the meantime I’ll be dreaming up all the other ways I’m going to keep filling this serving ware over Summer. I’m sure you’ll see it pop up in my feed again .... and again 😂💕

Glorious lunching was had on the weekend and a well overdue catch up with a great bunch of friends! We even managed to enjoy the brief sunshine on the alfresco dining situation. Eating and sipping with a good crowd has to be in my top five ways to spend time. Everyone bought along a dish to share the meal was delicious and not a Masterchef in sight! Loved it! I dropped by @wise_child_wine_store on the way and picked up a couple of interesting natural wines to share. So worth a visit if you’re around North Fremantle and enjoy exploring new vinos.
